Two major players in the smart home market are joining forces to streamline integration among products, while increasing options for builders and integrators.
Denon is primarily focused on smart entertainment tech in the home with an emphasis on home theaters and whole-house audio.
According to the press release, Denon has been involved in Control4’s Driver Certification Program, which aims to solve installation issues by simplifying integrations between devices.
Builders can breathe easy knowing that Control4 and Denon’s devices will now easily integrate with each other, eliminating guesswork on which devices to install in the home.
While Denon and Control4 stand out because of their ease of integration, builders do have additional options when it comes to whole-house entertainment.
Denon is not the only entertainment company in partnership with a major automation platform. Leviton and Niles both integrate easily with major automation platforms like Control4 and Elan in price ranges lower than Denon’s product line.
This new partnership between Denon and Control4 could indicate better interoperability among connected devices in the future, as more devices and companies enter similar agreements with major automation platforms.
