ADT Expands With Nest Thermostat Integration

Two popular names in the home automation spectrum have joined forces.

ADT has teamed up with the equally-popular Nest learning thermostat by integrating the product into their ADT Pulse smart home system. This partnership provides builders who use ADT’s services with more open options in controlling home automation.

The Nest integration works especially well with the newly renovated ADT Pulse app, which includes an updated dashboard, voice command capability and different “visual experiences” for homes and businesses.

The app will control the Nest thermostat in the smart home.

Perhaps the best part about this integration is that users will receive a free thermostat, provided that they purchase a select plan offered by ADT Pulse. Regardless, this collaboration is certain to provide home automation aficionados with even more control over their living environments.

According to USA Today, this special offer is currently only available in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver and Miami but will expand its availability nationwide by the end of 2015.
