Virtual reality will certainly be a hot ticket topic at CES, but the latest in audio and visual technologies will also be highlighted, showcasing how entertainment can be enhanced even without VR.

Audio companies like Riva Audio and Samsung are aiming to take on popular systems such as Sonos with new devices. Riva is introducing a wireless speaker set designed to work on electrical current or even just a battery, while syncing up to anything playing off of a smartphone or tablet. Samsung, on the other hand, is tackling whole house audio with its HW-K950 system.
