This summer, luxury builders can dive into pool projects without drowning … as long as they do it the right way.

For the client with endless expenses at their disposal, LUX builders can go above and beyond in achieving a dream outdoor pool area using technology that enhances these ideal summer hot spots.

Most of the time, it’s not even about having the most cutting edge technology but rather unique items that separate a client’s space from that of a typical pool.

“Our pools have controls for water purity and cleanliness. They have LED lighting. We’ve even done one with underwater speakers,” says Barry Hensley, president of NorthStar Luxury Homes.

Hensley adds that many of these technologies come with an accompanying smart phone app.

This example, among others, showcases how builders can distinguish pool projects per client desires. Not everybody is going to want an outdoor sound system or weatherproof television, but most homeowners will demand some sort of LED lighting for nighttime swimming and lounging.

It’s all about considering the client first and building based on their requests.

Privacy and Lighting

The space where a pool is built is the first step of the process.

Clients, especially the luxury variety, will desire an outdoor space that embraces privacy. They want it large, yet contained, and no luxury client is going to want their neighbors peeping in on a personal pool party.

Builders need to consider this space and also how lighting can be used to achieve ideal swimming scenes for nighttime. LEDs are both energy efficient and lovely to look at and can be placed everywhere from above the pool, hidden inside of plants surrounding the pool or even inside of the pool itself.
