For high-end homeowners with a foodie mindset or a hunger for finely crafted kitchen tech, it’s about more than just European styling.
The discerning customer is also looking for quietness, efficiency, safety and true innovation. There are many luxury brands in the marketplace, and all offer premium products, but the following five brands are genuinely exceptional, and their latest products prove it.
Sub-Zero PRO 48 Refrigeration
Sub-Zero’s PRO 48’s dual refrigeration keeps the humid side humid for fresh foods, the dry side dry for frozen and convenience foods, and everything fresher longer. With more than 30 cubic feet of storage, the stainless-steel PRO 48 features a refrigeration system enhanced with triple evaporators, which permits storage conditions in the main refrigerator compartment, the freezer storage, and the refrigerator drawers to each be adjusted separately. Every type of food is guarded in the proper preservation environment.
Every detail, from handles to hinges to grill, is hand-finished in American manufacturing facilities. A magnetic door seal system keeps food fresh or frozen if the power goes out. A single, triple-pane and UV-resistant glass door converts select refrigerator models into well-lit display cases. A state-of-the-art microprocessor continuously monitors each section for pinpoint climate control and has an interior touch control panel for easy adjustments. It also features ceiling lighting in both upper cabinets and LED side lighting.
Thermador’s new 30-Inch Five Burner Pro Harmony Range and 30-Inch Five Burner Pro Rangetop, launching in June, are the only 30-inch professional-style range and rangetop to offer five burners in the luxury market. They enable builders or designers creating a kitchen in a residence with strict ventilation codes to use professional-style Thermador products.
With a surface total of 59,000 BTUs, these appliances are approved to work in low cubic feet per minute (CFM) or recirculation situations – ideal in a condo or home where strict codes may preclude more than 300 CFM or venting to the outside. They can be installed with zero clearance against a rear wall surface and custom tile work can be installed directly behind these appliances. This is due to venting technology that reduces back wall temperatures nearly 20-25 percent when compared to ranges and rangetops with the traditional professional BTU rates.
The Vario refrigeration series is the first modular system made from fully integrated, built-in appliance. Refrigerators, freezers, fridge-freezer combinations with wine cabinets can be combined in countless variations to form a refrigeration wall. The interiors of Vario refrigeration appliances are stainless steel throughout. Vario refrigeration appliances are also the quietest in their class.
One appliance in the series is the three-door bottom freezer with integrated ice maker RY 492, which combines all the benefits of the Vario series in a two-door appliance with classic refrigeration on top and a freezer drawer on the bottom. The shelves are made of tempered safety glass and can be positioned individually to ensure optimum use of space. The RY 492 also features an asymmetrically split glass shelf.
