Breaking Down Solar for Homebuyers
According to Fabri, builders need to rethink their solar marketing efforts in order to appeal to homebuyers who are skeptical about the renewable technology.
“I think the biggest challenge is getting people to think longer-term. When you get the homebuyer thinking about the home at a 10-20-year lifecycle, it becomes really easy to make a viable financial argument for solar,” says Fabri.
By discussing the long-term financial benefits of solar, Fabri says he has been able to persuade clients who were previously uninterested in solar into adopting a rooftop array.
“The price of solar continues to go down and the efficiency continues to go up. So, things are getting more and more popular, systems are becoming more effective at lowering monthly costs,” says Fabri.
