This homeowner has seen first-hand the benefits of using an integrator when working with tech.
Robert Burghart moved into his new 5,000-square-foot house in Paradise Valley, Ariz. with one objective in mind. He wanted a complete systems overhaul with the ability to connect his music and security systems through one interface. He had struggled with connectivity and interoperability issues in his first home, so he took another approach in his next smart home project—bringing in the professionals.
Burghart reached out to Joe Abramo of Custom Automated Solutions.
“The biggest challenge was that all of the wiring was down in the basement, so we had to be really creative with how we were going to get them from the basement to the casita on the third floor,” says Joe Abramo.
Overcoming obstacles, Custom Automated Solutions was able to install a six-zone Niles Auriel audio system with a 900 GB NAS Drive that holds all of the family’s music, HAI Security Systems and an Epson Projector, among other tech.
It’s the home of this family’s dreams and a great example for builders looking to seamlessly integrate different types of tech.

Lighting Controls Outside
Custom Automated Installations integrated a secure front yard with eight cameras constantly monitoring and reporting back to the Elan platform.
Lighting systems kick on at night to brighten up the home and surrounding decorations.
They also provide security when needed throughout the night. Outdoor lighting systems that are set to automatically turn on and off based on schedules can appeal to security-focused clients looking for seamless monitoring that requires little interference.
