After hosting the largest Summit in the event’s history last year, the country’s top homebuilders and leading tech vendors will return to Arizona’s capital city for another round of tech strategy enhancement.
In 2017, the TecHome Builder Summit was held in Phoenix for the first time, welcoming in leading high-volume, multifamily and luxury builders from around the country. The city proved it could be a successful host for the event, and it will return this December for a second year.
Phoenix is the fifth largest city by population in the United States with more than 1.6 million people calling it home. In addition to being Arizona’s capital, it also is the state’s largest city. And, with a land area of 516.7 square miles, it is the 10th largest city in the country by area.
Much of that is covered by the Sonoran Desert, helping to creating the hot, dry climate for which Phoenix largely is known. However, when the Summit arrives from Dec. 5-7, it will be much more comfortable. The average temperature that time of year is in the high 60’s.
The Phoenix Convention Center is just four miles from Sky Harbor International Airport and located right in the heart of downtown. Named one of the top 10 convention centers in the country, it offers more than 900,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibit space and 99 meeting rooms – ample space to create a VIP experience for all TecHome Builder Summit attendees.
Not only does the facility itself provide a high-quality atmosphere for the Summit, but it is situated conveniently within walking distance of hotels, shopping, entertainment, sports stadia, theater venues and a Metro Light Rail stop. There will never be a shortage of options for things to do.
For those who would like to catch a game while in town, there will be a few options involving the city’s professional sports teams. The NHL’s Arizona Coyotes will host the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals on Thursday, Dec. 6 and the San Jose Sharks two days later at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The Phoenix Suns will take on the Miami Heat there the night of Friday, Dec. 7. On Sunday, Dec. 9, the Arizona Cardinals will host the Detroit Lions at University of Phoenix Stadium. All these games will be played just steps from the convention center.
Going further outside downtown are more of the 20 communities that make up the Valley of the Sun, including cities like Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe and Chandler. There, people will find some of the best art, architecture and culture the Southwest has to offer.
Arizona also has some of the most beautiful natural features in the country. In the immediate Phoenix area are places like Camelback Mountain, Papago Park, South Mountain Park and Preserve and the Desert Botanical Garden. Head out a bit further and visitors can take a trip to the Grand Canyon – just a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Phoenix.
After proving in 2017 that Phoenix can be a successful host for the TecHome Builder Summit, the 2018 event will be even better. To apply to attend, click here. For more information on sponsorship opportunities, click here.
