2017 TecHome Builder Summit Educates and Connects Guests and Sponsors

Hundreds of top builder guests and leading sponsoring companies already are seeing results from their meetings and interactions.

The fourth annual TecHome Builder Summit, taking place from Dec. 4-6 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Ariz., brought together the largest group of high-volume, luxury and multifamily builders and sponsoring companies in the event’s history. The 227 hosted guests and 103 sponsoring companies enjoyed a successful 2.5 days of networking and education.

This year’s hosted guests represented an impressive $64 billion in 2017 aggregate revenue and 247,000 homes built. Whether they were experienced in implementing tech or just trying to figure out the best way to get started, they still were able to find significant value in their participation.

“Coming here to get the education about the different platforms, the different installers, the different new products that are coming, it’s absolutely mind-blowing,” says Westin Homes sales manager Greg Sewell. “It’s fun and exciting to see where the future is going. If you’re not here, you’re missing the education. I wish I had four or five members of our management team here to see what I see.”

“The TecHome Builder Summit has been awesome,” adds Mandalay Homes chief technology officer Geoff Ferrell. “It’s my second year here. I’ve had a really great time. There are great vendors, great sessions. It’s even better than last year. I can’t wait to come back.”

The Summit’s vendors had opportunities to speak with builders of their choice through general session sponsorships, boardroom presentations and one-on-one meetings. Because of the nature of the meetings and the quality of the guests with whom they were speaking, many already had promising developments before the event wrapped.

“I think this will be our most productive show that we’ve been to,” says Axius director of business development Andrea Bottone. “We’ve connected with two large builders and also an integrator who was presenting, and those deals alone are huge for us. That’s exactly why we’re here. As a new company, it’s tough to get your brand in front of the right people and explain it. So, it’s been really great. It’s exceeded my expectations as far as what we’ve gotten from a boardroom and one-on-ones.”

“This is our fourth year at the Summit,” adds Core Brands VP of strategic solutions Joe Lautner. “We find it a great event to meet builders who are actually here looking for technology, so the match and the conversations generated are the most productive of all the events we do.”

Next year’s TecHome Builder Summit will return to the Phoenix Convention Center from Dec. 5-7, 2018. To register to attend as a hosted guest, contact Kaleigh Barrasso at kaleigh@ae-ventures.com. For sponsorship information, contact Nancy Franco at nfranco@ae-ventures.com.
