Power management company Eaton is bringing more public awareness to home technology in Fox’s new show, “Home Free.”
Hosted by contractor Mike Homes, nine deserving couples must live in and renovate eight homes while facing several challenges during the show’s eight week run.
They have help from professional builders and contractors, of course. The couple that does the best job wins a dream home, but what the contestants don’t know is that each will receive a house in the end.

According to a press release, more than 1,000 Eaton products were used throughout Atlanta area homes featured in the series including the AL Series Smart Dimmers, USB receptacles, Halo LED recessed downlights, three-way receptacles and switches, tamper-resistant receptacles, dual purpose arc fault/ground fault circuit breakers and home surge protector solutions.
“Contestants and viewers will better understand how innovative wiring devices, lighting and other residential solutions are making home renovation faster, easier and dramatically more efficient,” says Tami Armagost, Eaton homebuilder program manager.
